British Athletics website report from Euro Cross
Peter Molloy was racing in Turkey at the European Cross Country Championships, Antalya.
It was the first outing in a GB and NI vest for the Central AC athlete, having qualified for the team off an incredible performance last month in Liverpool.
It was a speedy start to the race, with Molloy towards the back of the main pack as they moved through the first lap. After two laps, he was around 15 seconds behind the leaders in 51st position.
He steadily worked his way through the field, moving into 39th place by the end of lap three. Peter continued moving through the ranks as he headed toward the finish, crossing the line 32nd in 19:15.
It was a strong race for the GB men who picked up the team title, helped by two runners in the top three thanks to gold for Will Barnicoat and and bronze for David Stone.
