scottishathletics are pleased to welcome Erin Gillen as our new National Club Manager.

Erin joins us on the Development Team after a strong recruitment process which followed the departure of Cara Shearer to a new position with sportscotland.

It’s an important role working with our clubs across the length and breadth of Scotland to maintain current momentum and stimulate and facilitate growth in our sport.

‘I’m delighted to welcome Erin into our Development Team in the key role of National Club Manager,’ said David Fallon, our Head of Development.

‘This is a crucial role for scottishathletics and our sport – supporting our fantastic network of dedicated clubs to continue their development to remain at the forefront of innovation and professionalisation in Scottish sport.

‘We have a strong Development Team in place and, after a competitive recruitment process, we feel Erin will be a great addition who will complement the existing experience in the National Club Manager team.

‘Erin joins us with an impressive resume of experience in Scottish sport and athletics. Erin has been involved in sportscotland national projects since 2018 – notably the Young People’s Sports Panel and the Fit for Girls programme.

‘Erin has also helped to establish and manage the scottishathletics Young People’s Forum; as well as being a volunteer, coach, and committee member with Springburn Harriers – the 2022 4J Studios Impact Club of the Year.’

As Erin starts with us, we say thank you and best wishes for the future to Cara, also.
