Kristian Jones took gold at Stirling in the Scottish 10k champs last year
The Scottish 10K Champs are at Stirling in September within the Stirling 10k race organised by Central AC.
It’s a flat, fast and scene route which starts and finishes outside the Peak at Stirling Sports Village on Sunday 8 September, it is preceded by a 2k fun run for children aged 7 to 15.
There are individual prizes for 3 age groups in the fun run and, in the 10k, for age groups from 15 up to 60+. The 10k also offers prizes for the first male and female teams and, of course, Scottish championship individual and team medals.
There is a limit of 1000 entries for the 10k and there will be no entries for either race on the day, so enter now!

ENTER the Scottish Trail Champs
The Scottish Mid-Trail Champs will be staged for the seventh time at the start of September – with Fife AC once again as host club.
Falkland Estate will be the venue for a series of races which includes national championships from U15 through to U20/Seniors/Masters as well as taster sessions at U13 and U11.
Sunday 1 September is the date for diaries and the Senior races are contested by men and women, in the same race, over a distance of around 10k.
GB international Kristian Jones won a great race last year from Andy Douglas with John Newsom in third to lead Inverness Harriers to the men’s team golds.
Lauren Dickson of Lasswade took the Senior Women’s gold in a season when she won GB vests in hill running as the silver went to Kristin Lownie of PH Racing and bronze to Catriona Graves of Garscube.
