Entries close Thursday: Inter-District XC races are open to runners all ages

Cross country action comes to Glasgow early in 2026 – and entries close this week.

We are really keen to highlight that the Inter-District XC Champs are open to everyone at all age groups.

Alexandra Park in Glasgow will once again be the venue with the date being Saturday 10 January 2026.

There is no British Cross Challenge element this year (unfortunately) and teams from East, West and North will battle for Scottish Inter-District XC medals. At Senior level, the three districts are joined by a team selection for Scottish Student Sport.

But, to provide another opportunity in the countdown to the Lindsays National XC in February, we are opening up these races to athletes from across Scotland – and beyond.

Please note entries close at 5pm on Thursday (December 19).

The golf course venue close to the M8 in central Glasgow is a great cross country setting and we would love to have as much support as possible for this event.
