Eilish McColgan has set up a scheme to support young female coaches.
Via the ‘BackToTrack’ project launched with partner Michael Rimmer, Eilish has pledged to support two young coaches through their scottishathletics qualifications.
Eilish said: ‘Our Inspire Coaching Grant will support two individuals to gain their Coaching qualifications – so that they can give back, inspire and coach the next generation of youngsters.’
The support is open to Scottish females, ages 18-30, with a real passion for track and field, athletics/running events.

British Athletics website selection announcement
No sooner had we mentioned Dean Patterson within a round-up of England Athletics Age Groups medals by Scots than he was named in a selection by British Athletics!
The 200m sprinter has been picked to be part of the team to compete in the DNA U20 International match in Madrid next month.
It follows on from the 17-year-old’s U20 Men’s gold last weekend.
Congratulations to Dean, his family, coach David Watson and Glasgow School of Sport.
