Loch Leven race hosts our East Half Marathon Champs

Loch Leven Half Marathon on Sunday 12 May incorporated the East Half Marathon Championship
Winner of the Men’s race and East Champion was David Webster (Dundee Road Runners) in a time of 70:41.
Second in champs with East silver was Michael McConnell (Perth Road Runners) with Carter Taylor (Fife AC) taking the bronze.
Men’s Master Champion was Ben Hukins (PH Racing Club) with David Scott (Kinross Road Runners) getting the silver and Michael Fullerton (Edinburgh AC) the bronze.
First home in the Women’s race was Rachel Alonzi (Inverness Harriers) in 85:04 with East Champion Rowena Halliday (Dunbar Running Club) only nine seconds behind in 85:13.
Janet Dickson of Fife AC was second in the East Champs and also won Masters Women’s gold, Natalie Stewart (Penicuik Harriers) getting the bronze medal
Second Master Women was Liz Johnston (Perth Road Runners) with Jennifer Johnston (Corstorphine AAC) taking the bronze.
The long running Loch Leven Half well organised by Kinross Road Runners will celebrate its 40th anniversary next year.
