After excellent days at Cumbernauld and Renfrew, the Lindsays Cross Country Season moves on to the District XC Champs at three locations in December.
And the time is right now for clubs, coaches and team managers to get entries in by post for the relevant event at Inverness for the North; Ayr for the West and Aberdeen for the East.
The National XC Relays at Cumbernauld in October were a big success and the event continues to grow to an extent that the entry fields were the larged in 24 years of combined champs for men and women – with the number of athletes finished coming out at 1443.
Then, Renfrew was the new venue for the Short Course XC Champs as Olympian Laura Muir stole the show with a superb run to retain her 4K title and add star quality on another terrific day for the sport.
Again, the Short Course XC Champs drew really big numbers and we’re looking for a similar response to the District XC Champs from athletes, coaches, clubs and parents – with those three events key when it comes to selection for the Inter-District Champs in Edinburgh in January.
So we are looking for clubs, athletes, coaches and parents to support the forthcoming events in Inverness, Ayr and Aberdeen in December – with the closing date looming on Monday 21 November to get names to us.
*East District XC Champs are being held at Balgownie Playing fields in Aberdeen this year – on Saturday 3 December.

*North District XC Champs are being held in Inverness for 2016 – on Saturday 3 December.
