The scottishathletics Cross Country Grand Prix will resume at the Lindsays District XC Champs.
Races at three venues on Saturday offer Senior athletes the chance to gather more points in the race for the overall pot of £4000 in prize-money.
Points have been awarded for the first fixture in the four for the series – the Lindsays Short Course XC at Lanark.
After this weekend, the other two remaining races are the Inter-districts at Renfrew in January and the Lindsays National XC at Falkirk in February.
Our champions from Lanark, Eloise Walker (Edinburgh AC) and Jamie Crowe (Central AC) both lead the way in the two tables with the maximum 50 points.
Eloise is followed by Kirsty Walker (Edinburgh AC) on 43 and Fionnuala Ross (Shettleston Harriers) on 36. Completing the top five in the Women’s division are Erin Wallace (Giffnock North) and Nancy Scott (Edinburgh AC).
Jamie is followed by Scott Stirling (Falkirk Victoria Harriers) on 43 and Freddie Carcas (Edinburgh AC) on 36. Completing the top five in the Men’s division are Duncan Robinson (Giffnock North) and Jack Patton (Kilbarchan AAC).
*Congratulations to Fionnuala Ross of Shettleston on selection for Ireland for the Euro Cross in Belgium. Fionnuala was fourth (third Senior) at the Irish National Champs and was duly picked once again.
