The Scottish Cross Country GP has reached the hallway stage after three events.

And East and West District XC winners Morag Millar and Lachlan Oates are out in front in the points table.

The Cross Country GP is competed for over six races in total with £4000 in prize money to be paid to individuals as we seek to encourage our top Senior athletes to compete regularly.

Points have so far been tallied from Lanark, Liverpool and the Districts – with the Inter-District XC at Irvine on January 15 next on the list.

Central AC’s Millar tops the Women’s table with 129 lead and already has a significant advantage. Eloise Walker of Edinburgh AC/Glasgow Uni is second on 86 with Lasswade athlete Sarah Tait in third.

The Women’s top five is completed currently by Naomi Lang of Aberdeen on 70 points and Catriona MacDonald of Bellahouston Road Runners on 63.

The Men’s top five is completed currently by Falkirk Victoria Harriers athlete Scott Stirling on 70 points and Jonny Glen of Inverclyde AC on 65.

After the Inter-Districts XC, the Cross Country GP concludes via the Lindsays National XC at Falkirk and the Inter-Counties.
