Cross Country Team Challenge 2021 (after two rounds)

Central AC and Edinburgh Uni Hare and Hounds took the golds as the Lindsays National XC Relays returned to the calendar – and now they lead our Cross Country Team Challenge table.

The Team Challenge event is played out over three (short course) events at the start of the season.

Initial points were allocated for the Lindsays District XC Relays and now we’ve tallied up the points (with 20 on offer to the top team now instead of 10 at the Districts).

Central AC lead the men’s table on full points with 30 and Inverclyde AC are second with 27 points and Edinburgh Uni are in third with 26 points.

Central AC B team took silvers at Scone Palace and that lifts them to fourth place in this table with Aberdeen AAC in fifth place.

The Women’s table reflects the current strength of Edinburgh Uni Hare and Hounds with the club leading on 29 points and in third on 25 points, too, via their B tea.

Glasgow Uni are in second place on 28 points after taking bronze medals in Perth. Edinburgh Uni B team are third and VP-Glasgow sit in fourth.

The Cross Country Team Challenge concludes at the Lindsays Short Course XC at Lanark – with the winning clubs each receiving £250.

Edinburgh Uni Hare and Hounds took the gold medals and the trophy at Scone Palace thanks to the efforts of Holly Page, Katie Lowery, Hannah Anderson and Megan Keith
