Yearn to learn: Our Coach Education programme for autumn 2025 – with course subsidies

The scottishathletics Education Team are delighted to announce the launch of our coach and leader education programme for autumn 2025.

Education courses throughout the country including entry and coach level qualifications opened for bookings on Thursday 19 June.

Individuals along with members of our affiliated clubs and jogscotland groups will be able to begin or progress through our qualification pathway and support the amazing leading and coaching work taking place across the length and breadth of the country.

Through our partnership with sportscotland, we have also been able to extend our course subsidy to offer individual subsidy applications towards the cost of attending a scottishathletics delivered Coaching Assistant, Leadership in Running Fitness course.

We are also pleased to continue subsidy support for volunteers embarking on an Athletics Coach or Coach in Running Fitness course.

scottishathletics Coach Education and Development Manager Alison Grey said: ‘We have again endeavoured to provide a comprehensive and flexible education programme as we continue to work with and support volunteers in our sport.

‘We hope that the training and licence support provided by our education courses will continue to support individuals, clubs and groups to deliver first class sessions in their leading and coaching environments.’
