It was a successful weekend of road running for a number of Scots over the marathon and ultra distances.

Henry Hart of Belgrave Harriers clocked an impressive 2:50:35 over 50k at the Running GP at Goodwood Motor Circuit.

The time betters the current mark of 2:56:21 set by Nikki Johnstone in 2023 and puts Henry fourth on the GB All Time Road Rankings (TBC).

Over in Spain, there were notable performances at the Valencia Marathon.

Ryan Thomson (Cambuslang Harriers) clocked a new PB of 2:15:47, taking 3 minutes off his previous best time.

There were also impressive debuts from Max Milarvie (Victoria Park-Glasgow), who clocked a 2:17:06, and Steph Pennycook (Leeds City AC) who posted 2:34.33.

Cambuslang’s Scottish/Czech athlete, Moira Stewartova, came up with the best European performance at a superb 2:23:44.

Congratulations to all athletes and their coaches.
