Chandler Richardson has started work with scottishathletics as our new National Community Impact Officer.
We were delighted to appoint the Scotland-based American in key role within the team led by another recent appointment, Steph McLean. Steph is our National Community Impact Manager.
‘Chandler’s appointment completes the initial National Community Impact Team, and alongside Steph, she will work to create sustainable participation opportunities within our three most under-represented communities,’ said David Fallon, our Head of Development.
‘Those areas are ethnic and cultural diversity, disability and those in disadvantaged areas and the team are asked to make an impact there in terms of growing our sport.
‘Chandler has recently completed a Masters in Strength and Conditioning at the University of Edinburgh, and has worked as an Outreach Mentor specialising in socio-emotional learning in a North-east Philadelphia school.
‘We welcome Chandler to scottishathletics and she ended her first week in attendance at the National Club Conference which was a great way to start.’
