Following the Eildon Junior Hill Race race in Melrose on Saturday and with four of the eight league races complete, the overall standings in the scottishathletics Junior Hill League are taking shape.
Current league leaders represent clubs from the length and breadth of the country:
U20M Irvine Welsh (Teviotdale Harriers)
U20W Rachel Giffen (Springburn Harriers)
U17M Katie Meek (Inverness Harriers)
U17W Dan McGuire (Harmeny AC)
U15B Joel Gillan (Central AC)
U15G Anna Elizabeth Ross (VP-Glasgow)
However, with double points available at two of the next four races (Cademuir on 12 Aug, Creag Bheag on 17 Sep), it’s still very much all to play for in all categories.
And, to be included in the final league standings, runners only need to complete three races so it’s not too late for others to make a play for the titles, too.
Next race is at Braemar Junior Highland Games on 22nd July.
