GB and NI U20 team selection for Loughborough
Two young Scots have been selected to compete with the GB and NI U20 team at the Loughborough International this weekend.
Angela McAuslan-Kelly of Aberdeen AAC is the selection for the Women’s Hammer while Dean Patterson of Glasgow School of Sport is named in the 4x100m Relay squad.
Both are currently with our 4J National Athletics Academy with Angela coached by Jim Green and Dean by David Watson/Norrie Hay.
Congratulations to both athletes and their families, coaches and clubs.
The team manager for the British U20 team this weekend is Darren Ritchie, from England Athletics and, of course, formerly with us and our Long Jump Record holder.

Our second Jumps and Throws GP of the 2023 season is taking place this Sunday.
This time Grangemouth is the venue after a successful opening event in Inverness at the end of April.
Around 150 athletes are entered for the second GP of the season with many looking to follow up on performances at the District and National Open events last weekend.
Results will appear online here once the action starts on Sunday.
As always, we say a big thank you in advance to entered athletes and their coaches and clubs as well as the qualified scottishathletics Officials who make events happen.
Entries are open for the third Jumps and Throws GP meet, which takes place in Dundee on Saturday 17 June.
