British Athletics have opened their consultation on proposed changes to the current rule book.
The proposal is to adopt the IAAF Rule Book with effect from 1 April 2016, the most significant aspect of which would be to alter the age-groups to the IAAF system.
Currently, IAAF operate a Youth category at Under-18 level and the proposal would see the age-groups change from U17/U15/U13 to U18/U16/U14 as per the pilot scheme run by scottishathletics between 2011 and 2014.
Timelines for the consultations can be found on the British Athletics website, along with the changes themselves and a number of FAQs.
Please submit all proposals on rule changes to rules@uka.org.uk by Monday 27 July 2015 using the template on the Brtiish Athletics website.
For any comments on the age group consultation please email agegroupconsultation@uka.org.uk by Friday 29 May 2015.
