UK Athletics website selection announcement
Three Scottish throwers have been selected by British Athletics for the European Throwing Cup later this month.
The event will take place in Leiria, Portugal, on March 12 and 13, and the GB and NI team will feature 12 athletes across the discipline and including Seniors and U23 athletes.
Joining them will be Kirsty Law and Nick Percy in the discus and Chris Bennett in the hammer.
The event is viewed as ideal preparation for the summer and opportunity to post qualifying distances for World, European and Commonwealth events.

scottishathletics will stage a Spring Throws meet as part of our event-specific approach to competition and development.
The Ayrshire Athletics Arena in Kilmarnock will be the venue on Sunday 13 March.
Competition opportunities are being offered in all the long throws and entries can be made via the link below.
The meet will have Level 2 status and all athletes will receive one warm-up throw and five competitive throws

A new jumps event in Glasgow will see athletes in a ‘battle of the bars’ to hit Personal Bests and take home the Jump Glasgow trophy and grand prize!
Organised by the Glasgow Athletics Association, Jump Glasgow will take place on Friday 11 March from 6.30pm to 9pm and is open to athletes for all ages from U15 and above.
