The latest cohort from our scottishathletics Club Leaders Academy concluded training recently and ten individuals ‘graduated’ at a ceremony in Glasgow.
Over the last 21 months, ten club stalwarts have completed a programme of leadership development, club and business development and community impact and development.
These leaders deliver a variety of roles on behalf of their clubs including (and not exclusively): general Board/Committee Members, Club Chair, Secretary, Welfare Officer, and Head Coach.
Our latest graduates are:
Graham Reid – West Dunbartonshire AC;
Barry Connal – Cumbernauld AAC;
Sarah Duff – Pitreavie AAC/Heriot Watt Uni AC;
Jonathan Kennedy – Team East Lothian AC;
Daniel Scroop – Garscube Harriers;
Lindsay Hammond – Wee County Harriers;
Jessica Acheson – Lochaber AC
Dave Hanlon – Dundee Hawkhill Harriers;
Kate Goldsmith – West End Road Runners;
Marianne Emordy – Springburn Harriers

We are very grateful to all our clubs and leaders for supporting the programme which huge commitment and enthusiasm over the entirety of the programme, which created an incredible bond and learning between clubs and peers.
Additionally our huge thanks to Brian Pahlmann (Aberdeen AAC) and Jill O’Neil (Garscube Harriers), who were previous cohort graduates and came back to provide support and mentoring to the leaders throughout the programme.
There was a variery of presenters throughout the learning journey and particular thanks to Guy Richardson (Eiger Performance), Andrew Jenkin (Club Development Consultancy) and James Stewart for all their input.
The Club Leaders Academy has returned to the scottishathletics club development programme following a break.
Our Development Team will review the recent Club Leaders Academy and will announce further details of recruitment for the next cohort over the coming months.
