Clubs: register now for Lindsays District XC Relays at three venues
Cross country group sessions can be an important feature of the endurance pathway in Scotland.
Sessions in Glasgow, Edinburgh and the North have become firmly established on the winter calendar over recent years.
scottishathletics endorses the principles of athletes from different clubs training together and coaches enjoying the chance to network and share knowledge and experience.
So we are pleased today to share details of various sessions and to confirm these schedules now include Aberdeen for the first time in a number of seasons.
Thanks to all those volunteers working to put these sessions together and to coaches involved, too.
Age groups, number of reps and so on may very depending on the location.
*Organisers should note: it is probably not realistic in our schedules to push and promote every session as the season unfolds. We will try and share this bulletin as a reference point at regular intervals.

For U17 and older
Dates and Reps
20 Sept: 5 min tempo then up to 10 x 3 mins (90 sec recovery)
27 Dec: Up to 5 sets of 5 mins (90 sec rec), 3 mins (60 sec rec), 2 mins (90 sec rec).

Glasgow

18 Oct: Bellahouston Park, 6 -8 x 3 min; 90 secs recovery
15 Nov: Pollok Park, 10min tempo, 10 x 1 min, 10 min tempo
27 Dec: Tollcross Park, 4 – 8 x 4 mins
17 Jan: Bellahouston, 6-10 x 3 mins with 90 sec recovery
7 Feb: Tollcross Park 6-10 x 4 mins; 2min recovery
