UK Athletics have announced the Novuna GB and NI team for the U20 European Championships in Finland.

And we are delighted to see five Scots within the selection for the event in Tampere between 7–11 August.

A squad of 59 athletes has been selected in line with the selection policy, with the aim of these Championships being to maximise a top-eight placing as well as providing key experience for 4x100m runners in preparation for senior championships.

There are track selections for the trip of Oliver Patton (Kilbarchan AAC), Oliver MacDonald (Giffnock North AC) and Reiss Marshall (Fife AC).

Falkirk Victoria Harriers athlete Kaya Slater is picked for the individual 100m and Dean Patterson (VP-Glasgow) is named in the 4x100m Relay squad.

Many congratulations to those selected and to their families, coaches and clubs.
