Teams from across Europe competed at the weekends Trofeo Vanoni in Morbegno, Italy.
In the men’s race, our Scottland team bettered last year’s position to finish in a fine seventh place.
Moray Pryde ran leg one in 31.11 coming home in seventh and Joe Wright (32.27) and Angus Wright (32.35) raced well to maintain the position.
The women equalled the men’s result also finishing in seventh. They race over a shorter lap. Isla Patterson (24.58) and Catriona MacDonald (24.02) represented Scotland.
Jonathon Downey, Thomas Hilton and Harris Pagett entered their own Scotland U20 team finishing 13th overall. Harris ran a superb leg in 32.06 and finished third fastest Junior Male with all three Scots within the top ten.
Ross Gollan ran the 6th fastest time of the day with 30.37.
Well done to all the athletes for good performances.
