Scotland will be represented in their final mountain international for 2024 this Sunday at Trofeo Vanoni, in Morbegno, Italy.

This classic relay over 7.2km with 435m ascent/descent will be streamed and the Italians do like to show how much they love the discipline of mountain running.

This year Jonathon Downey, Thomas Hilton and Harris Pagett have entered as an U20 Scotland team.

The British Fell and Hill Running Relays took place last weekend at Appletreewick, Wharfedale, Yorkshire Dales.

In the men’s race, Carnethy HR finished second behind Dark Peak and Carnethy’s B team finished sixth to demonstrate the strength of the club (unheard of to have two teams finish in the top 10).

The Masters V40 team were third behind Calder Vally and Helm Hill.

In the Women’s race, Carnethy A were sixth, Carnethy B were eighth and Shettleston in ninth to make it three Scottish teams in top ten.

The relay is four legs, two individual, one paired long leg and one paired navigation leg. There were fastest leg times for Andy Douglas (Westerlands) on leg one and Sasha Chepelin/Luke Fisher on the paired navigation leg.
