Eight athletes will represent Scotland at the Antrim Coast Half Marathon in August – and there have now been a couple more changes to our Men’s team.

The races in Northern Ireland always attract high quality fields and fast times will be expect on Sunday 27 August.

Following a couple of withdrawals, we are pleased to confirm that Charlie Sandison (Fulham RC) and Michael Ferguson (Aberdeen AAC) have now been picked to wear the Scotland vest.

Congratulations to both athletes and their families, coaches and clubs.

Charlie, who is from Leven but lives in England, clocked 65:28 at Cambridge in March and followed that with a 2:19.22 run in the London Marathon. Michael made an excellent debut at the distance with 66:23 at the Scottish Champs at the Inverness Half Marathon.

Inverclyde AC athlete John Bell was confirmed last month as also having been selected. Unfortunately, injury issues have affected (the orginally selected) Lewis Rodgers, Hamish Hickey and Weynay Ghebresilasie.

Scotland Women:

Natasha Phillips (Dundee Hawkhill Harriers); Sarah Potter (VP-Glasgow); Eilidh Bell (Shettleston Harriers); Sara Green (Gala Harriers).

Scotland Men:

Fraser Stewart (Cambuslang Harriers); John Bell (Inverclyde AC), Charlie Sandison (Fulham RC), Michael Ferguson (Aberdeen AAC).
