British Athletics website team announcement

Seven Scottish athletes are headed for Finland next month with the GB and NI team for the European U23 Championships.

It is a record-equalling representation for athletics in Scotland in terms of the British team at these particular champs – with seven only achieved once before back in 2019.

We offer our warm congratulations to all seven athletes involved, and to their families, with selections at international level always backed up by years of commitment, dedication and development in the sport.

And we thank and acknowledge the key role player by individual coaches and clubs along the pathway towards this successful moment.

The European U23 Champs are taking place in Espoo, Finland, from July 13-16 and the GB and NI team numbers 44 athletes in total.
