Busy weekend ahead with events indoor, outdoor and cross country

Friday 10th February 2023

Please note: As of Friday afternoon, the Emirates Arena have made us aware that there is a large fire in a nearby recycling centre. The efforts to get the fire under control have led to a lot of smoke in the area and some roads being closed. At the time of updating, the Clyde Gateway has reopened but can only be accessed from the Dalmarnock side. London Road is closed. If you are travelling to the Scottish Students Indoor Championships on Sat 11 February or our 4J Masters Champs and Club Relays on Sunday, please factor this in to your travel plans and leave extra time in order to get to the venue.

Once again there is a hectic weekend ahead across Scotland with track and field events and a couple of cross country league meetings.

We’ve links to key information on five events below.

Thanks in advance to athletes entered to compete in the various events and to all our volunteers and Officials who will make these events happen/

Please note that while of course we are always striving to deliver the best possible coverage across our comms channels, we do not expect this weekend to necessarily match recent output. This is due in the main to staff shortages, budget and up-coming time commitments.

Info for Masters (with Para events) and Relays

Sunday sees another day of championship action at the Emirates Arena as the 4J Indoor Season continues.

This time we have the 4J Masters Champs (with Para events) and the finals of some our Club Relays in the younger age groups.

Key information on the Masters Champs is available online on the link above.

If you are a coach or spectator planning to come along to the Emirates on Sunday please register online in advance.
