British Athletics website announcement with full team

Two young Scots are headed for the World Juniors with GB and NI.

British Athletics have named a team of 43 athletes for the event in Cali, Colombia, on August 1-6.

And there are places among the relay squads for Scottish sprinters Alyson Bell of Giffnock North AC/Edinburgh Uni and Brodie Young of Airdrie Harriers.

Bell, who is coached by Billy Glasgow and Anne Scott, is selected for the Women’s 4x100m and Young, who is coached by James McMenemy, is with the Men’s 4x400m group – after a PB run in Bedford last weekend.

Congratulations to Brodie and Alyson and their families, coaches and clubs.

SA Junior Hill 2022 (after four races)

The Scottish Junior Hill league is up and running for the summer of 2022.

Four races have already been completed in a nine-race series and we’re pleased to deliver an update on the points gathered by athletes in the U20, U17 and U15 age groups.

Athletes need to compete in at least three races overall to feature in the final standings. And, if they race more, then the points awarded in their best three performances will count.

Prizes will be awarded in each age category after the final race.

With thanks to Mark Johnston and Mark Harris and all involved in these Junior Hill races.
