Our Jumps and Throws GP series headed to Grangemouth last Saturday with a strong entry.
This was the second such event, after an opener at Inverness, and Results are available online.
In the throws, there was a strong performance from VP-Glasgow’s Callum Hendry in the U17 Men’s Hammer with a PB of 57.65m to move to third in the UK U17 rankings.
Another notable performance came from a good U17 Men’s Discus competition with Bruce Robb (Pitreavie) 40.97m and Logan Mitchell (Kilmarnock) 41.00m – both throwing PBs.
We say a big thank you to all who competed and to our dedicated scottishathletics Officials as well as helpers, coaches and Grangemouth staff for all your support.
And entries are already open for the third of these – coming up on Sunday 5 June at the redeveloped facility in Dundee’s Caird Park.
Online entry can be accessed via the link above and we would love to see as many athletes as possible taking up these event-specific opportunities.
Entries close on Thursday 19 May.
Credit to @scotathletics for the formatting of the high jump within the Grand Prix series. Allows athletes with higher start heights to begin the competition immediately. Increased rest time for all athletes. Nice to see performance being put first through thinking outside the 📦

Great day at the @scotathletics Jumps and Throws Grand Prix today with PBs for all 3 boys. A great opportunity to hit form ahead of next weekend's West Districts Championships at Kilmarnock pic.twitter.com/ijNR3Tzeqs
