Scottish Student Sport Champs round-up

It was a busy day at the Emirates Arena on Sunday as we staged events in our Club Relays and 4J Masters Champs.

There were also a number of Para success events, including the first time FrameRunning (previously known as RaceRunning) has taken part indoors.

Well done to all the athletes involved at all ages and stages – and to their coaches and clubs.

In the National Club Relays, the battles for medals were highly competitive as podium places were contested at U17, U15 and U13 level.

Here’s our summary of the medal-winning teams:

U17 Men: 1 Shettleston Harriers; 2 Pitreavie AAC; 3 Team East Lothian

U17 Women: 1 Law and District AAC; 2 Cumbernauld AAC; 3 Dunfermline Track and Field

U15 Boys: 1 Giffnock North; 2 Law and District AAC; 3 Livingston AC

U15 Girls: 1 Edinburgh AC; 2 Law and District AAC; 3 Giffnock North

U13 Boys: 1 Giffnock North; 2 Pitreavie AAC; 3 Dundee Hawkhill Harriers

U13 Girls: 1 Kilmarnock Harriers; 2 Pitreavie AAC; 3 Law and District AAC

Fiona Matheson came up with another World Best performance in her age group at the 4J Masters Champs.

The Falkirk Victoria Harriers athlete raced 1500m on the track this time and came up with 5:09.58 to once again break new ground in the W60 category.

Congratulations to Fiona and a number of other Scots who set British or Scottish best performances in their Masters categories.

Scottish Student Sport Champs Results

The Scottish Student Sport Champs were staged at the Emirates Arena on Saturday.

It was great to see this event return to the Indoor Season and we say a big thank you to our dedicated team of Officials who helped make it happen only 48 hours after two days of action at the Scottish Schools.
