We continue to look at important aspects and information around our 4J Indoor Season coming up in Glasgow early in 2022.
Today we look specifically at Masters events and also key advice for spectators/coaches planning to attend events at the Emirates Arena . . .
Masters athletes should be aware that competition in the 4J Indoor Season has been restructured for the 2022 season.
Track and field events for Masters are for those aged 35 and over on the day of competition and there are event opportunities across three consecutive weekends.
All our Indoor Season events will take place at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.
*Masters 3000m Champs are on Sunday 30 January – alongside day two of our Combined Events Champs.
*Masters Pentathlon/Heptathlon Champs are on Saturday 29 January and Sunday 30 January within our Combined Events Champs.
*Lindsays Masters XC takes place in Aberdeen on Saturday 5 February (entries open on December 6). Masters in cross country are aged 40 and over on the day of competition.
*Masters Indoor Champs is scheduled as the only meeting/event on Sunday 13 February at the Emirates.
Check out the Events calendar pages for links to each of these fixtures, how to enter and more information (including medal standards each age group).
Spectators and coaches are required to book their place in advance for all of our forthcoming indoor events.
Spectator allocation is limited to ONE spectator per athlete (ie. one parent/guardian) and costs £3 per person. This is because we are looking to limit the overall number at indoor events in order to meet Covid-19 risk assessments.
Coaches must also register in advance and will be asked to name the athletes(s) they will be supporting on their registration form. There is no fee for coaches.
Spectator/coach registration is now open online.
