The Glasgow Athletics Association are pleased to confirm the return of their Winter XC Endurance Sessions.
These sessions are open to everyone from U15 and the plan across six sessions is to prepare for the Lindsays National XC in February 2022.
The first session is coming up on Saturday 16 October – a week on from the start of the Lindsays Cross Country season starts with the West XC Relays at Alexandra Park in Glasgow.
That opening session takes place at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow and involves six to eight x three minute reps with 90 seconds of recovery.
Here’s the full list of Winter Endurance Sessions 2021/2022:
Saturday 16 October – Bellahouston Park (Pitch and Putt)
Saturday 13 November – Tollcross Park (Meet near the Parkrun finish)
Saturday 18 December – Netherpollock playing fields, Pollok Park
Tuesday 28 December – Bellahouston Park (Pitch and Putt)
Saturday 8 January – Netherpollock playing fields, Pollok Park
Saturday 12 February – Tollcross Park (Meet near the Parkrun finish)
*On each occasion, athletes should arrive warmed up ready to go for 10:30am first rep.
The GAA Endurance Sessions bring athletes and coaches together in shared training sessions – a principle fully supported by scottishathletics.
