Picked for Scotland! Hill running teams for Senior Home International

Scotland teams will head to the Lake District later this month to compete in the Senior Home International in hill running.

The event takes place on Sunday 19 September at Sedbergh and is also the selection ace for the World Mountain Running Champs. These are now scheduled for next February in Thailand (postponed from November).

We’re delighted to name very strong Scotland teams as athletes chase GB and NI vests.

The classic up and down race is over 10.4km with 780m ascent/descent over two laps on the slopes of Winder above Sedbergh. Each of our Senior teams has two U23 athletes representing Scotland.

Congratulations to all those selected to represent Scotland at the SHI in Sedbergh.

Scotland Senior Men:

Jacob Adkin (Moorfoot); Andy Douglas (Inverclyde); Ross Gollan, Joe Symonds (both Shettleston)

Scotland U23:

Rory Abernethy (Ochil HR); Gregor Malcolm (EUHH)

Scotland Senior Women:

Scout Adkin (Moorfoot); Megan Crawford (Fife AC); Catriona Graves (Carnethy RC); Jill Stephen (HBT)

Scotland U23:

Naomi Lang (Aberdeen AC); Holly Little ( VP Glasgow)

There is also a Junior selection race over one lap and a number of Scots will head into that one hoping for representation – including Fraser Gilmour (VP-Glasgow), Isla Hedley (Fife AC) and Georgia Ledingham (Corstorphine AC).
