#LindsaysXC! Entries are now open for District Relay events

The Lindsays Cross Country Season is imminent!

Our track and field season concludes in terms of Scottish Championship events this coming weekend at Linwood with a huge entry received for Club Relays.

But already we want clubs (and their coaches, team managers and parents) to start thinking about the Lindsays District Cross Country Relays.

Our Road Running and Cross Country Commission and the events team at scottishathletics have been working hard with venue operators and host clubs to clear the way for the return of these events.

Saturday 9 October is the date for diaries and training plans – and we are asking clubs to start going online and entering names for the East, North and West events scheduled to take place that day.

Galashiels Academy will host the East event while Alexandra Sports Hub in Glasgow is the venue for the West event. The North venue should be confirmed soon.

Entries close at Midnight on Thursday 23 September 2021. No late entries will be accepted.

All entries must be submitted online, through the club portal. No late entries will be accepted.

If you experience online entry problems, please email: events@scottishathletics.org.uk before midnight on the closing date.

Emails submitted after this time will not be accepted as an entry.

Entry Fees:

Young Male/Female Teams – £14

(Teams are 3 athletes. 1st Lap U13, 2nd Lap U13 or U15, 3rd Lap U15 or U17)

U20/Sen/Mas Male Teams – £22

(Teams made up of four athletes)

U20/Sen/Mas Female Teams – £17

(Teams made up of three athletes)

Membership:

*Please note, athletes will not be able to enter if their membership to scottishathletics is out of date. If you membership is set to expire before the date of competition (Oct 9) please renew now in order to be allowed to race.

*scottishathletics athletes who are members of more than one Scottish Club must represent their first claim club in cross country competition.

*Athletes may only compete for one Scottish Club at scottishathletics Championship events over the course of any competition year – from October 1 (so athletes must compete for the same club in the District and National Championships).

U13: Born between 1 Sept 2008 – 31 Aug 2010
U15: Born between 1 Sept 2006 – 31 Aug 2008
U17: Born between 1 Sept 2004 – 31 Aug 2006
U20: Born between 1 Sept 2001 – 31 Aug 2004
