Track and field action is well underway across Scotland this summer – and we’re delighted to once again be able to offer National Championships in August.
The global pandemic forced the cancellation of national medal opportunities throughout 2020, although we were very pleased to present open graded events at Meadowmill and Aberdeen.
Now, with a series of protocols in place, capped numbers and a lot of co-operation from all involved, athletics in Scotland can savour real competition after a two-year hiatus.
The 4J Studios Senior/U17 Championships will be at Grangemouth on the weekend of August 14/15.
Entries are open NOW via our online system and scottishathletics members receive priority booking (up until Thursday July 15, when we open to NGB members outside Scotland)
Please remember to go online and renew your scottishathletics membership if need be in order to be clear to compete.

Remember, as we say often ‘Competition: It’s What You Train For’, and we do hope that National Championship events will be very well-supported in 2021.
In order for as many athletes as possible to compete, each individual can compete in up to three events over the weekend within Seniors or U17 age group. U15 athletes stepping up to U17 can compete in two events.

We’re hugely grateful to our sponsors 4J Studios for their on-going support for track and field and also to our Officials, venue staff and many other volunteers who help us make events happen.
It is the 128th edition of the Senior Championships and Grangemouth is always a hugely popular venue with our clubs.
Please note that there are capped numbers for each event and the programme for Seniors, U17s and the U20 5000m Champs are spread over the Saturday and Sunday.
*Entries will close at 11.59pm on Thursday 29 July.
*Coaches and spectators should note that applications to attend Grangemouth on August 14/15 will open online from next Monday (July 12).
*Events that reach capacity will operate with a waiting list thereafter.
KEY QUESTIONS WHILE ENTERING . . .
Question: I can’t get to the entry page as the fixture listing just says entries open soon. What do I do?
Answer: As entry is open only to members at the moment, the athlete needs to log in to their account before completing their entry. Log in, and then enter via the fixture page within the portal.
Question: The page says there are no fees set so I can’t complete my entry. What do I do?
Answer: Similarly, entry fees are only available to members currently. The athlete needs to make sure that their membership is valid for the competition date when they enter (ie. it does not expire between now and the competition date), otherwise they will not be recognised as a current member by the entry form.
So, please renew, then return to the entry form to complete the entry.
4J Studios Age Group Champs will take place in Aberdeen on the weekend of August 28/29.
U15s will compete on Saturday and U13s on Sunday with the U20 programme spread over the two days.
