Provisional Results on Event section (see on right of page)

Our Tru Wealth Virtual Road Challenge took place last weekend with around 300 athletes involved for this one.

Windy conditions in many parts of Scotland in the second half of the competition window may well have had an impact on times – but the tough conditions didn’t dampen enthusiasm as always.

It’s been a feature of our Virtual Road Challenge events that a number of clubs and athletes not necessarily accustomed to national ‘attention’ are featuring high on our leaderboards and we’re delighted to afford them that spotlight.

So, looking first at the team events, the top clubs in the various distances were as follows:

10k Teams: Bellahouston Road Runners (Steven Lamb, Tony Connelly, Bryan Mulgrew)

Half Marathon Teams: Greenock Glenpark Harriers A (Andrew McCall, Owen Atkinson, Eric Lindsay).

4k Open Teams: Falkirk Victoria Harriers (Abbi MacLeod, Caitlyn Christie, Greg Ritchie)

3k Open Teams: Falkirk Victoria Harriers (Isabella Ogg, Katie Hedges, Chloe Davies)

1.5k Open Teams: Inverclyde AC (Lucas Wagstaff, Olivia Lyne, Pearl Paterson).

On the individual front, special mention for our marathon runners with Oliver Reilly of Greenock Glenpark Harriers leading the way with a time of 2:50.59.

Given the effort and distance, we list here the top three from the marathon and the leading athletes in other categories.
