Our Events Team recently asked clubs to get involved as we look to resume track and field action this summer.

We are setting up the 4J Studios Together-Apart Districts and the 4J Studios Virtual SUPERteams – with both to take place during May.

The thinking is to plan out smaller, localised events which should work best (for the moment) as sport in Scotland emerges from the global pandemic.

scottishathletics are delighted to confirm we’ve already been contacted by around 25 clubs and that support is hugely appreciated.

Initial interest in setting up 4J Studios Together-Apart Districts events was shown by Pitreavie AAC, Montrose and District, Motherwell, Nairn AAAC, Central AC, Glasgow School of Sport, Haddington Running Club, Kilmarnock Harriers, Giffnock North AC and PH Racing Club.

Since those responses, we’ve now had contact from another 11 clubs: Stewartry Athletic Club, Law and District AAC, Cumbernauld AAC, Corstorphine AAC, Law AAC, Perth Strathtay Harriers, Stornoway RAC, Dunfermline Track and Field Club, Banchory Stonehaven AC, Shetland AAC and Bellahouston Road Runners.

These events are being set up for all age groups from U13s through to U20s/Seniors/Masters.

There’s also been interest in the 4J Studios Virtual SUPERteams from various clubs and we are following those up. This SUPERteams is for U12 athletes at our clubs.

Clubs who want to register an interest should let our Events team know or use the links here:
