Team scores and individual results (on right of page)

scottishathletics would like to thank our clubs for a terrific response to our 4J Studios Virtual SUPERteams event.

The Virtual Challenge took place over a four-week period from May 18 to June 14 with U12 athletes at clubs invited to try one discipline each week.

Team scores and individual results are now available via the downloads lodged on our Event section page.

We’re absolutely thrilled that no fewer than 565 athletes took part in at least one of the four events and that 163 teams in total featured from 38 clubs.

As we placed an emphasis on clubs to deliver the event via coaches, parents and team managers, and log performances for us to add to leaderboards, we would underline our thanks to all who became involved.

Just like all scottishathletics events, the Virtual SUPERteams would not have taken place without the hard work of volunteers organising team entries and submitting those performances.

Elgin AAC won the girls event and VP-Glasgow topped the leaderboard for the boys.

Completing the top three for the girls were Harmeny AC and Inverness Harriers and completing the top three for the boys were Harmeny AC and Giffnock North AC.

It was excellent to see the likes of Shetland, Orkney and Stornoway all get involved as well as some of our smaller clubs like Nithsdale, East Sutherland and Linlithgow. We also had clubs like Garscube Harriers trying SUPERteams for the first time.

And there was plenty of social media activity as clubs work hard to keep their members connected.

*We are working on plans for Virtual SUPERteams Two – but that’s another story to come in due course !
