4J National Indoor Open all set for Saturday

Thursday 6th January 2022

Start-lists and Live Results link

The 4J Studios Indoor Season begins on Saturday with our 4J Studios National Open taking place at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.

We’re delighted the event is to go ahead with hundreds of athletes involved – with a number of Covid-19 procedures in place.

With changes to restrictions just prior to Christmas, scottishathletics have worked hard to reconfigure the event programme and timetable to meet the regulations set down by Scottish Government and sportscotland.

We are asking everyone who plans to attend, in any role, to take a lateral flow test in advance of coming to the Emirates on Saturday. Thanks.

Also, if you have not registered to attend by now (we are over-subscribed under the restrictions) then please do not come along to the Emirates on Saturday.

We’ve been making arrangements with clubs about chaperones for young athletes and our Officials also had an online call during the holiday break to keep them up to speed with changes.

Athletes competing on Saturday should read the information document on the Event section page.

Athlete Information for National Indoor Open

*Athletes of all ages are able to compete in laned track events and field events, so no changes have been made to any 60m, hurdles or 200m events, nor field events.

*The 300m, 400m, 800m and 1500m events will still go ahead as planned for athletes aged under 18.

*Spectator numbers are limited to 200 (excluding coaches). Online spectator registration has now closed to the general public, but coach members can still register through their SportServe account. Spectators already registered previously can still attend.

*All event attendees (athletes, coaches, officials and spectators) are encouraged to take a lateral flow test on the morning of the event.

Should they test positive, show any COVID-19 symptoms or suspect that they may have Covid-19, they should not attend and book a PCR test. Vaccine passports, etc. are not currently required, but anyone planning to attend this event should take precautions to protect themselves and others.

*Other Covid-19 requirements (eg. face coverings, handwashing and encouraging physical distancing) are still in place as originally communicated, and processes in place on the day must be followed.

Thanks for all your patience and support; it is much appreciated.
