Almost 850 athletes have entered which will make for two very busy days inside the Emirates Arena in Glasgow and scottishathletics President, Leslie Roy, looks forwarding to welcoming athletes, coaches, club volunteers and Officials.
‘It gives me great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers and spectators to the 2018 FPSG Age Group Champs,’ said Leslie.
‘A fantastic two days of athletics lie ahead from the youngsters of our sport who will travel the length and breadth of Scotland from Stornoway to Dumfries and from the Western Isles to the East coast. It is also good to see a large contingent of athletes from Ireland and south of the Border.
‘The entry for these championships is up significantly from last year and it has been great to see some top performances already during this indoor season.
‘Some of the athletes here this weekend will be just setting out on their athletic journey while others will be looking to gain qualifying standards for the World Junior Championships.
‘However, all will be looking to ‘Perform When it Counts’ and gain PBs and we wish them and their coaches all the best for the weekend at the Emirates.’
