Officials
‘Without Officials and volunteers, our events simply don’t happen’
We think our qualified scottishathletics Officials are brilliant and make sure our sport is delivered – every year.
That’s why we never tire of saying ‘Thank You‘ to our purple and red army of key volunteers.
We did exactly that on behalf of the sport at our Officials Conference in Dunfermline last Sunday.
Long service awards were presented to no fewer than 14 of our dedicated Officials with Jim Oliver of Edinburgh AC leading the way with a quarter of a century of volunteering for athletics in Scotland.
Our award recipients at Officials Conference 2026 were as follows . . .
Five Years of Service:
Craig Armstrong; Lesley Rogers; Caroline Johnston; Kia Mourao; Laura Gebbie; Karen Stevenson; Stephen Wallace
Ten Years of Service:
Moira Logan; Stuart MacPherson; Carol Rose; Kevin Rose
15 Years of Service:
Margaret Daly; Brian Burgess
25 Years of Service:
Jim Oliver
