Sunday’s Results

The Emirates Arena was the place to be on Sunday once again.

For the third successive weekend, the Glasgow venue played host to events in our 4J Indoor Season.

In fact, it was a double-header (for many of our Officials) with the Scottish Student Sport Champs held there on Saturday.

Come Sunday and once more hundreds of athletes descended on the brilliant facility which hosted the World Indoors two years ago after a winter refurbishment.

Masters athletes from Scotland and across the UK and Ireland gathered for their indoor championships with medals on offer in five-year bands from V35.

Para athletes joined in on some of these events as an important inclusive opportunity.

In between all of that, we had throngs of young athletes from across the track and field club community contesting 4x200m National Relays at U14 and U16 level.

All the drama of Relays was in evidence throughout the early rounds and then the finals over 4x200m for U14 and U16 athletes.

Giffnock North won an impressive double in the younger of those age groups as Edinburgh AC won the U16 Girls and Shettleston Harriers won the U16 Boys.

There are video clips of the finish of each of those finals on our YouTube channel and some podium photos below.

U14 Girls: 1 Giffnock North; 2 Harmeny AC; 3 Ayr Seaforth

U14 Boys: 1 Giffnock North; 2 Pitreavie AAC; 3 Shettleston Harriers

U16 Girls: 1 Edinburgh AC; 2 Pitreavie AAC; 3 Falkirk Victoria Harriers

U16 Boys: 1 Shettleston Harriers; 2 Law and District AAC; 3 Falkirk Victoria H

Big thank you to all clubs who entered teams and of course to our Officials for their commitment to making our events happen in the busy 4J Indoor Season.
