Jamie Burns led home a Shettleston 1-2 in the Men’s race at the Great Scottish Run.
And Gala Harriers athlete Katie Rourke came up with arguably the best win of her career to take the Women’s race.
That podium featured evergreen Freya Ross with the Falkirk Victora Harriers athlete in fine form some 13 years after her marathon appearance at the London 2012 Olympics.
Jamie was inside 65 minutes on a windy day in Glasgow as he clocked 64:44 to win from his Shettleston club-mate, Weynay Ghebresilasie, who was home in 66:03. Fife AC’s Lewis Rodgers was third in 66:31.
Katie won in 76:49 with Freya second on the podium in 77:54. Nynke Mulholland-Stummer of Inverclyde AC took third in 78:07.

Jill Cherry won the Women’s 10k race with 35:40 with the VP-Glasgow athlete of course a Commonwealth Games medallist in 2022 in the 4x400m.
Corstorphine AAC’s Josie Wren-Golder was second in 36:02 and Holly Little of Cambuslang completed the podium in 36:21.
Sean Frame won the men’s wheelchair 10k in 23:51 from Kyle Brotherton and Ben Rowlings. Eden Rainbow-Cooper won the Women’s 10k wheelchair race in 26:20.
Well done to all who raced in the Great Scottish Run events on Sunday over 10k and half marathon.
