Entry lists (becomes Live Results)
All roads lead to Grangemouth once again as the Scottish track and field season heads towards a key weekend.
The familiar venue – saved from closure only three months ago – will host our eagerly-awaited 4J Senior and U17 Championships on Saturday and Sunday.
It is the 132nd version of the Senior event and the cast-list this year includes Olympians both familiar – Nick Percy – and never-before-spotted in Scotland – French sprint hurdler Cyrena Samba Mayela.
Recent medallists from the UK Champs will line up alongside Scotland internationals, former winners and U20 athletes stepping up an age group. The U17s will feature eager teenagers keen to maintain their own development.
Entry numbers are really good once again and we are delighted to confirm those start-lists feature no fewer than 765 athletes – it was 769 last year and 692 in 2023 (all at Grangemouth).
There is a strong cohort from Ireland coming to compete which will add to the atmosphere, no doubt, and we fully expect Scottish athletes to rise to the challenge.

It is always hard to pick out highlights in advance – but the Men’s Long Jump has been special now for a couple of years at this venue and the Women’s sprint hurdles are drawing international attention!
In addition, UK champs silver medallists Nick Percy and Kirsty Law will defend their discus titles as terrific supporters of the event (like Scotland international Greg Millar in the javelin).
In the Men’s Long Jump, Alessandro Schenini arrives as the UK champion while Stephen Mackenzie is the defending champion from 2024. Stephen won last year with 7.92m.
The Women’s 100m Hurdles will be a must-watch. British athlete Alicia Barrett originally entered to chase a World Champ standard and it seemed to snowball from there.
Olympic silver medallist, French Athlete, Cyrena Samba Mayela now leads to the start list followed by Charisma Taylor from the Bahamas. The Championship Best Performance is held by Pat Rollo at 13.20 seconds – there are five athletes seeded quicker on the entry-list.
In the endurance events, Paralympic T20 1500m champion Ben Sandilands in listed with the Fife AC athlete preparing for the forthcoming World Para Champs in India. Frame Runner Finlay Menzies, also selected in that team, is due to race at Grangemouth, as well.
