The 4J Senior and U17 Championships are coming up next month.

Grangemouth Stadium is again the venue for this eagerly-awaited event with the stadium, of course, this year having survived the threat of closure.

Senior, Masters and U20 athletes can enter for the Senior Champs over the weekend of Saturday 23 August and Sunday 24 August.

And, in keeping with the format of recent years, Grangemouth will host our U17 athletes for their outdoor championships over the same weekend. We also have Para championship events within the programme, too (more detail on events further down this story).

Entry is via our online system JustGo and opened to scottishathletics members on Thursday 10 July. Our members have an initial priority period for the Senior and U17 Champs.

Entries will close on Thursday 7 August.

We strongly feel this weekend should be the pinnacle of the season for Scottish athletes in these age groups and, with the help of our Officials and volunteers, will seek to deliver the best possible championships.

Entry numbers are significant in that better depth delivers stronger competition and thus raises the standard of performances (not just for medallists).

We hope athletes, coaches and clubs will make Grangemouth on August 23/24 a key moment and the main target for the 2025 season.
