The learning never stops at scottishathletics and for our Scottish coaches.

And that’s why we want to again highlight some of the on-going coach education opportunities which are coming up over the next few months.

Roadshows are taking place at the moment around the country to explain more about the National Coach Development Programme. There are also Technical Development days happening this weekend at Grangemouth.

There is a Roadshows at Grangemouth this evening (Wednesday 18 November). Then there are still two more thereafter; in Inverness on November 25 and Aberdeen on December 4. You can sign up for those Roadshows for free by email to performanceteam@scottishathletics.org.uk

Read more about these on a previous story on the site. Thanks to the clubs and coaches who are already supporting these opportunities.

As well as those dates, we have courses scheduled at various locations around the country which offer would-be coaches the chance to put a toe on the ladder in terms of education, or improve the skills or those who have already secured some qualifications.

Here are four forthcoming opportunities:

* Livingston: Coach in Running Fitness

Four days in total with the first two dates November 28 and December 6. £120.

* East Lothian (Meadowmill): Coaching Assistant

Two-day course with the first date January 9. £150.

* Perth: Athletics Coach

Four days in total with the first two being January 23/24. £120. Note: only one place remaining

* Ross-shire (Tain Royal Academy): Coaching Assistant

Two-day course with the dates being January 30/31. £150.

All the details for these up-coming courses can be found on the Coaches section of the website

* Our Coaching Conference at the Emirates in September was well-attended and we had good feedback from the coaches who came along on the presentations and the material that weekend.

We’ve now added a number of those presentations to this website for your perusal – across various events.

Check them out on the specific page for the Conference via another story.
