Scottish Trail Champs

Review of the 2016 event

The Falkland estate is once again the venue for the Scottish Mid-Trail Champs – which is taking place on Saturday.

Fife AC have kindly agreed to host the championships with for races for all age groups, with medals on offer from U15 through to U20/Seniors/Masters.

Entries closed at around the 300 mark so once again we want to thank athletics, clubs and coaches for supporting a National Championship event.

Medals for individuals and teams are up for grabs in the main Senior race and at U17 and U15 level. The races at U13 and U11 are development races (not a championship) and are geared to giving our younger athletes a taste of trail running.

It is four to count for teams – men and women – in the U20/Seniors/Masters race and three to count in the U15 and U17 races.

Start-lists info

The Senior races – which take in U20 athletes and Masters as well – are contested by men and women, in the same race, over a distance of around 12K. The start-finish area as at the Strathmiglo end of the estate.

It all happens on the day Fife AC host their ‘Festival of Trail Running’ and the club look froward to welcoming all standard of athletes from beginners in this discipline to Scotland internationals.

Check out the Road Running and Cross Country Commission website for details on the medals on offer at the Mid-Trail Champs
