UKA Inter Counties Fell and Hill Running Championships28th February 2012 UKA Inter Counties Fell & Hill Running Championship The UKA Inter Counties Fell & Hill Running Championship takes place at the Shining Tor Fell Race in the Peak District, Derbyshire on Saturday 19 May, over a course of 12km with 533m climb. Race details can be found here : Selection for each district will be based mainly on form in hill races broadly similar in nature to the Inter Counties race itself, up to the selection date Monday 23 April. If you have any queries about the event, selection process, or wish to express an interest in competing, then please contact your district hill running co-ordinator : Central & North : Mark Johnston ( East : West : Emma Birnie (emmabirnie@tiscali.co.uk) The race is also the first counter in the UKA McCain Mountain Running Challenge. The other three fixtures in the series are the European Trial at Sedbergh on 2 June, World Trial at Glenridding on 5 August and Senior Home International at Melmerby on 22 September. This year’s Inter Counties event incorporates Under 18 and Under 16 junior championships for the first time, giving aspiring juniors the chance to contest what promises to be a high quality race.
