AN EXCITING YOUTH INTER-CLUB COMPETITION will form part of the build up to August’s prestigious Celtic Cup at Grangemouth, scottishathletics have announced.

The Celtic Club Relays will take place at Inchyra Park in Grangemouth at 4pm on the day of the big senior international event.

Three mixed races will take place for U13s, U15s and U17s consisting of mixed teams (2 boys/2girls) on a flat grassland surface over 1k for the two younger groups and 1.5k for the elder age band.

Goody bags and FREE tickets to the Celtic Cup will be awarded to all teams, with special prizes for the first three teams in each race.

Details behind the Celtic Cup were unveiled earlier this month.  Scotland, Wales and Ireland will fight it out for the inaugural trophy. The meeting will also feature several high-profile guest athletes from overseas and special Bank of Scotland 2014 team.

The match is being supported by Falkirk Council and will be televised live by BBC Scotland from 7-9pm.

For enquiries on how to enter your club in the Celtic Club Relays, please contact scottishathletics Club Services Manager Ryan Montgomery at ryan.montgomery@scottishathletics.org.uk or 0870 145 1517.
