The scottishathletics Annual Dinner is coming up next month – and where better as a venue than Hampden Park?

We’re heading back to the scene of the Commonwealth Games track and field action and some truly marvellous memories during a great summer in Glasgow.

Saturday 22 November is the red letter date and, of course, a key part of that showpiece occasion will be the scottishathletics and jogscotland awards, with the dinner also your chance to mingle with Team Scotland stars.

People Make Athletics is one of our mantras and there’s no better way to sum-up what happens on an evening when we formally recognise many of those who make a huge commitment to our sport; every month, every year.

Entries have closed for the club, coach, volunteers and partnership awards. Those short-listed will be contacted. We will soon announce the contenders for the KUKRI Athlete of the year Award and the other athlete awards for 2014.

So, with TV presenter Alison Walker as compere, it is an evening simply not to be missed with tickets priced at £40 per person.

To now book tickets please email Claire Archbold on events@scottishathletics.org.uk or call Claire on 0131 476 7335. The Dinner starts at 7.30pm on November 22.

In a change to the most recent format, there is no Guest of Honour this year with a significant focus of the evening being the Commonwealth Games and recalling and reliving all the drama of Hampden three months ago.

There’s information on the venue online and please note that November 22 is a busy date in Glasgow with other events so accommodation, if required, may be scarce.
