Freshers Match 2014
The first of the University and College action for the new academic year will take place at the Emirates Arena in the form of the Freshers Match on October 22.
The event starts at 10am with declarations open from 9am. This year there is added bite to the competition with Glasgow and Edinburgh competing in a head-to-head competition for the Appleton Trophy.
As usual this event attracts many new students to athletics and it is hoped that many new talents will come to the fore.
The event is open to guests as well as the UK’s student fraternity. Both guests and Pole Vault competitors must pre-register with secretary Ian Tatton on sua2011@hotmail.co.uk.
