There are two new scottishathletics Foundation Courses coming up later this month and in October – and places are still available for the weekend of April 11 and 12 at Heriot Watt near Edinburgh.
In partnership with the world-renowned coach Kelvin Giles (Movement Dynamics), scottishathletics are pleased to announce the introduction of the new Foundation Course.
This coach development opportunity is specifically design to help newly qualified coaches (Coach Assistant and/or Athletics Coach Award) to develop their skills in delivering warm-ups and in-session planning in the club environment.
This new programme is integral to the National Coach Development Programme for scottishathletics, which targets the athletic development of the athlete, in addressing the athletes’ physical and technical competencies. This Foundation Course will take place over two days, and will consist of both theory and practical workshops.
The cost of the course will be £30 for scottishathletics coach members (£50 for non-members). The courses are on April 11 and 12 and October 24 and 25. The April venue will be Heriot Watt, near Edinburgh.
To book yourself on the course, please email Mary Anderson at mary.anderson@scottishathletics.org.uk
